Terms of service

By using referel.ai and requesting a service, you agree to these Terms. They govern access to the referel.ai website, the free AI visibility check, the starter package and monthly monitoring.

• The service is intended for businesses and professionals. By requesting a service, you confirm that you are acting on behalf of a business.
• You only request measurement for domains and brands you own or are authorized to have optimized.
• You agree to comply with applicable law when using the service.
• We may change or discontinue parts of the service with reasonable notice where practical.

1. Scope of the service

referel.ai measures and improves how businesses appear in the answers of AI systems. We cover ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. How many are included in a given engagement depends on the chosen tier, described on the packages page.

• Free check - a short measurement across five AI surfaces using a set of real customer questions, showing where you stand against the competitors you name. It is prepared by hand and contains no recommendations.
• Starter package - full measurement, a deep technical audit, an external source audit, root cause analysis and execution of the priority changes. One-time, about 6-8 weeks.
• Monthly monitoring - recurring measurement, a monthly report, expanding coverage with new questions, and ongoing work on the website, content and external sources.

The exact scope of each tier is confirmed in the contract.

2. Your responsibilities

So the work can actually be done, you provide:

• Access to the website, or someone who applies changes to it
• Access to your business profiles on external platforms, as far as they are within the agreed scope
• Accurate information about your business, competitors and target markets
• Feedback within a reasonable time when requested

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you provide and for holding the rights to any content you give us.

3. Prohibited use

You agree not to use referel.ai for any unlawful, harmful or unauthorized purpose. In particular, you will not:

• Submit domains or brands you do not own and have no written authorization for
• Use the service for defamation, harassment or impersonation
• Attempt unauthorized access to our infrastructure or to other clients' data
• Send malicious code through the site's forms
• Resell or distribute our reports without a separate written agreement
• Use automated means to submit requests through the forms

We may refuse or terminate service in case of a breach and notify the competent authorities where required by law.

4. Intellectual property

Our methodology, question sets, the way indicators are calculated and our report templates are our property and are not licensed for independent use.

The data you provide - your website, business description, competitor list and correspondence - remains yours. We process it only for the purposes of the service, as described in the privacy policy.

You may use the reports you receive freely within your organization, including sharing them with colleagues, agencies and contractors working on the recommendations. You may quote short excerpts with attribution to referel.ai. You may not publish a report in full or in substantial part on a public website or in a commercial product without our written consent.

5. Pricing and payment

Prices are set individually according to scope and confirmed in a written quote and contract. Where VAT applies, it is charged at the applicable rate.

The starter package is paid once before work begins. The monthly fee is paid in advance for each period. Work begins once payment is received. Quoted prices may change with at least 30 days' notice; engagements already underway continue at the price agreed at the start.

The free check is free and creates no obligation to pay or to sign a contract.

6. Timelines

Free check. We aim to deliver the result within one business day. Our team is based in Europe; requests submitted outside our working hours are processed on the next business day. This is a target, not a contractual obligation.

Starter package. About 6-8 weeks from receipt of payment and the required access.

If a delay is on our side, we will let you know and deliver as soon as the obstacle is removed. If a delay is on your side - waiting for access, content or approval - the timeline pauses for that period.

7. Termination and cancellation

Monthly monitoring has no long-term contract. You may cancel at any time with written notice; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Paid and unused periods are not refunded, but the service is delivered until they end.

The starter package may be canceled before work begins for a full refund. If work has already started, we refund the part not yet delivered; the delivered part is not refunded. Refunds are made by the same method as the payment, within 14 days.

8. Service availability

We aim to keep the site and the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance, third-party outages and technical incidents may temporarily limit access. We are not liable for damages arising from such interruptions.

Measurement depends on the availability of AI systems. If a platform is unavailable or changes how it works, measurement for that period may be delayed or limited. In that case we will let you know and note it in the report.

9. Limitation of liability

The service is provided as is. We give no warranties beyond those expressly stated in the contract.

We do not guarantee a position in AI answers. Reports and recommendations are professional judgment based on measurement, not a promise of results. Implementing a recommendation does not guarantee that a given platform will recommend you, that a given indicator will improve or that any particular revenue result will follow.

AI systems update their indexes, weights and answer rules without notice or public explanation. Results vary between individual queries. This is inherent in the environment, not a flaw in the measurement.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost profits, revenue, data or reputation. Our total liability under the contract does not exceed the amount you paid in the previous three months.

10. Privacy and data protection

We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and applicable Bulgarian law. The privacy policy describes what data we collect, why and for how long, including information for California residents.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these Terms. Material changes - affecting your obligations, our liability or payment terms - are communicated by email to active clients and by a visible notice on the site. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria.

In case of a dispute we encourage you to contact us first at [email protected] to find an amicable solution. If none is reached, the dispute is referred to the competent court in Sofia, Bulgaria.

13. Final provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remain in force. The invalid provision is replaced with one closest to the original intent of the parties.

Where a separate service contract is signed, its terms prevail over these Terms on the matters it covers.
